Speaker: Ed Wainwright, MA, C.P.M., APP
Ed Wainwright has been a member of the Central Florida Board of Directors since 1978. He has taught classes in Inventory Management, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), C.P.M. And CPSM Exam reviews since 1982 to a number of Affiliates in the Southeast. Ed has an AAS degree in Marine Technology (Biology) Suffolk County Community College, BA in Secondary Science Education from USF, and a MA in Procurement and Acquisition from Webster University.
Ed has grown algae, oysters, clams, scallops, and shrimp at Long Island Oyster Farms, operated Gun Fire Control Systems on the Intrepid CVS-11 in the Gulf of Tonkin, assisted passenger for ElAl Israel Airlines. After earning his teaching degree Ed taught High School Biology and General Science, drove Monorails, Purchased and Inventory Management for the Auto Parts, Computer leases, systems, and projects, and Procurement Systems Administrator at Disney World. AD (After Disney) Ed worked procuring IT Systems, contracting for hardware and software maintenance.
Ed had a major heart attack in 2002, and spent the next 7 years awaiting a heart transplant. In August of 2009 he received a new heart (actually a used heart but low mileage). He is now 4 3/4 years post-transplant and is enjoying his grandchildren
