In an increasingly competitive world, the purchasing and supply management profession has gained the respect and recognition it has long-deserved, due in large part to the certification programs offered by ISM. These designations certify the holder has the experience and knowledge to meet the challenges our profession presents.
The Institute for Supply Management launched the Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) program in May 2008. The CPSM® is the credential that surpasses the demands of the international marketplace with multi-faceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues and social responsibility.
Requirements for the CPSM certification include:
A passing score on three exams and either 5 years full-time professional supply management experience OR 3 years full-time professional supply management experience and a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or international equivalent).
