Global Supply & Distribution of Medical Supplies in Support of War
We will investigate the medical supply chain supporting the U.S. military and combat operations in the Middle East and Central Asia. Contrary to popular assumptions, the U.S. military medical supply chain uses the commercial air freight secotr for 99% of its deliveries by volume. As operations increased and subsided in tempo across the region, there was pressure to adapt the supply system to maintain responsiveness and reliability while decreasing cost. We will discuss the basic features of the U.S. medical material supply system and the changes made to maintain or improve service while significantly decreasing costs.
Dr. Keenan Yoho, Ph.D., has spent more than a decade working with senior management leading change in both commercial and military environments.
