In an increasingly competitive world, the purchasing and supply management profession has gained the respect and recognition it has long-deserved, due in large part to the certification programs offered by ISM. These designations certify the holder has the experience and knowledge to meet the challenges our profession presents.

CPSM Certification

The Institute for Supply Management launched the Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) program in May 2008. The CPSM® is the credential that surpasses the demands of the international marketplace with multi-faceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues and social responsibility.

Requirements for the CPSM® certification include:

  • 3 years of full-time, professional supply management experience
  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent)
  • A passing score on three exams -OR- if you are a C.P.M. in good standing, a passing score on the bridge exam.

More information on the CPSM® certification is available at the ISM web site.
