2011
The Richard A. Solimano Outstanding Member Award was
established in 2009 to recognize members who show devotion and dedication to
the Association and procurement profession. It is the highest honor
accorded to a member of ISM-Central Florida, Inc.
Ron served as Affiliate President for four years, from 2005 to 2009. In 2009 he served on the board in a dual role, Treasurer and Immediate Past President. He continues his dedication to the Affiliate as a current board member serving as International Conference Host Service Committee Chair. Prior to being President, he was very active in the Affiliate working in many roles in support of the Affiliate such as Vice President and Director of Public Relations.
Despite multiple roles on the Affiliate Board, Ron continued supporting ISM by enthusiastically volunteering to serve as Chair for the 2011 ISM International Conference Host Service Committee. This position required countless hours of time and coordination in 2010, and will continue to be lots of hard work in 2011. He has provided direction and support to other committee members and has been a great leader that will result in a very successful conference.
2009
Ed Wainwright, now retired from Lockheed Martin Corp., was chosen
as the recipient of the Richard A. Solimano Outstanding Member of the Year Award
by the Central Florida affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management.
Presented at the December 9, 2009, Membership Meeting, Ed is the first recipient
of the Richard A. Solimano Award. The award recognizes individuals that have
provided exceptional service and contribution to the Central Florida affiliate.
